BGS Classic is built around fair, active and competitive gameplay.
Every player is responsible for understanding and following the current BGS rules.
⚡ BGS allows 4R tools. Bots and unauthorized gameplay automation are prohibited.
Players are expected to maintain the integrity of the BGS Classic environment.
The following principles apply to all players:
BGS Classic allows the use of 4R tools.
However, the use of any third-party software is entirely at your own risk.
BGS does not:
If you choose to use a 4R tool, you are responsible for obtaining it from your own sources and ensuring that it is configured correctly.
The BGS Team cannot provide:
If a third-party tool causes problems with your game or system, BGS support is limited to the official BGS Classic client.
⚡ Using a 4R tool does not give permission to automate gameplay.
The distinction is important:
4R tools are permitted.
Bots are prohibited.
A permitted 4R tool must not be used to automate gameplay actions that require active player control.
Using third-party software to perform unauthorized automated gameplay is prohibited regardless of the software being used.
BGS has zero tolerance for botting and unauthorized gameplay automation.
Prohibited automation may include:

BGS uses multiple layers of bot detection and investigation.
BGS has an automated bot check system that may require a player to answer a question when triggered.
Players are expected to respond correctly within the required time.
Failure to respond or providing an incorrect response may result in further investigation or action under the BGS rules.
GMs are available 24/7 to manually monitor and investigate suspicious activity when necessary.
A GM may manually check a player even if the automated bot check has not been triggered.
⚡ Passing an automated bot check does not prevent a GM from conducting a manual investigation.
Being AFK does not automatically mean that a player is botting.
However, AFK players may still be selected for an automated or manual check.
Do not assume that being AFK prevents you from being checked.
Players must not intentionally abuse bugs, exploits or unintended game behavior.
If you discover a serious exploit:
Continuing to exploit a known issue may result in disciplinary action.
Third-party software must not be used to gain an unauthorized gameplay advantage or bypass BGS security.

The permitted use of 4R tools does not override these restrictions.
Account sharing is not permitted.
Players are responsible for activity performed through their account.
Never share your account credentials with another player.

Unauthorized real money trading and transactions involving BGS assets are prohibited when they violate current BGS policy.
Players should use only approved systems and methods when trading Zeny, items or other assets.
Do not conduct transactions through unofficial channels that violate BGS rules.
Players are expected to treat others with reasonable respect.
The following may result in disciplinary action:
Competitive gameplay does not remove the requirement to follow community rules.
Advertising unrelated servers, services or communities without authorization is prohibited.
Do not use BGS systems or community channels to promote competing or unauthorized services.
Players must not intentionally abuse server mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.

If you encounter suspicious activity, report it through the official BGS community channels.

Attempting to evade, interfere with or deliberately obstruct an investigation may result in additional disciplinary action.
Rule violations may result in disciplinary action depending on the severity, evidence, history and circumstances of the case.

The appropriate action is determined by the BGS Team based on the circumstances of the violation.
BGS rules may be updated when necessary to protect fair gameplay, server stability and the overall player experience.
Players are responsible for following the latest published BGS rules.
